Mewbourne Oil Company and its affiliates concentrate operations in the Permian and Anadarko basins. Within these two basins we target proven, well studied geological formations and focus on developing the areas with which we generally have extensive experience.
The Permian basin spans a large area of approximately 75,000 square miles located in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico, and contains two interior basins, the Midland basin and the Delaware basin. The Anadarko basin encompasses an area of approximately 60,000 square miles through Western Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, and Southwestern Kansas.
